Warden Athletic - down memory lane

Warden Athletic was a very successful local side playing in the NHCSFL in the 70s. When the club folded around about 1978 many of the players joined either Stopsley Harriers or Wyvern Members (or in turn both clubs) the clubs that eventually were the founding member clubs of CGSSC.

The picture below was given to the Secretary by Dale Coffey (Life Member) as an interesting addition to the website. At least nine of the players pictured are currently involved with Crawley Green - mainly as members.

The picture is of major importance in relation to the history of hairstyles of the 70s period!
