1994 NOMADS
Luton Nomads were the first cricket club to become involved with
Crawley Green - in fact I can remember Fred Woodhouse and Graham
Hull pondering the plans in the Playgroup area well before the building
started.
Their association with the Club has been first class and has evolved
with us as the Club has grown. Many of our youngsters (and seniors) are
now involved with the Nomads and they have a pleasant summer outlet playing
a sport they otherwise may not have been able so to do.
One of the interesting side features is the 6-a-side tournament which
is jointly run by the Nomads and our other main resident team Luton
Exiles. This is a fun day when social members can pit their wits against
the more experienced and regular cricketers and the competition is looked
forward to by all.
The team is pictured above after winning the Chiltern Village Cricket
Leage.
The Nomads also have their own individual website - www.lutonnomads.org.uk
