John's boys put Arsenal in the shade

John McGovern's (pictured above) hotshots (Crawley CY7 U11) have firmly put Arsenal in the shade. Whilst everyone was praising the Gunners for going through a whole season undefeated (this is prior to the Leicester game), John's lads have now gone two consecutive seasons without losing.

The final game of this season was a nervous encounter as the maroons narrowly beat Bushmead (previously unbeaten this season) thanks to a 20-yard strike from Kieran Meegan. This was enought to give Crawley a 1-0 win and clinch their second successive league championship.

Crawley U11s have now played 50 games over the last two-and-a-half years since their last reversal.

These lads (the management team and the parents) have been a great credit to themselves and the Club and we warmly congratulate them on their achievement.
