10-year Club refurbishment

Update from the Chairman, Tony Talbot

On Wednesday, 19th June 2002 the Club celebrated its first 10 years and to mark the excellent progress made we have recently updated the Clubhouse, including new CCTV cameras, fascia boards, ceilings and lights, stage lights, carpets and redecorated the main rooms.

We have also made significant improvements to the changing rooms. And, of course, we have the big screen for all the important matches! Below are some views (for those who are still interested) of the main rooms plus a picture of myself and the Secretary Ian Freeman who has just bought me a drink!

Over the last 10 years the Club has grown from 10 teams to 22 (including 18 youth teams, a girls team and a nursery section), has just received the prestigious FA Charter Mark Development Club, teams in the South Midlands Football League and teams in the top two divisions of the NHCSFL, plus three cricket teams.

We hope to celebrate the 10 years with a private function on the Wednesday evening as well as providing members two other anniversary evenings with top-quality cabaret later in the week. Indoor games are also well provided for with three teams in the Premier Division of the local pool league and the dominoes team have just won the top cup in Luton.

We also have a ladies darts team and a very successful Playgroup which serves the local community.
