Transfer Talk . . .
24th August 2003

The sensational news today is that Sunday Reserve manager
Gary King (above) is set to sign former Luton Town and Tottenham Hotspur
star Mitchell Thomas.
Mitchell turned out in a Club friendly (Sat Reserves
v Sunday Reserves) and the former Hatter was impressed with the quality
of the youngsters who played in both teams.
With Kevin D'Arcy and Andy Carr getting much-needed
match practice for the Sunday Reserves it was the Sunday team that was
packed with experience. However, it was the youngsters from the Saturday
side who took the lead before going 2-1 behind. With excellent football
being played by both teams the Saturday lads equalised just before half-time
before eventually losing 4-2.

Another exciting addition is that first-team manager
Danny Bonner has NOW SIGNED
Rian MacDonald (above), who really outshone the big-name stars
this morning. Rian had the opportunity to join another Club on Sundays
and but decided to help the maroons in their quest for their first major
Sunday title this season. The youngest of the MacDonald brothers has moved
up to the Saturday first team and has excelled in both the first two matches.
The new Crawey Green Sunday third team played
their first friendly this morning, running out worthy 3-0 winners against
a South Beds Sunday league team. With 19 players turning out for match
practice, the omens bode well for our new venture into the South Beds
league.
