More success for our youngsters
Thursday, 6th September 2007
Crawley Green continued a great run of summer
success as both the U10s and U11s notched up wins in the Flitwick Tournament.

The U10s (above) set the ball rolling when they
won the
Flitwick Eagles U10s Tournament on Saturday 1st September.
They played seven games in total, winning six and drawing
one, without conceding a goal and beating St Joes and Icknield along the
way. The final was a one sided game with Crawley thrashing Bedford Rangers
5-0 - even goalie Nick Duffy managed to get on the score sheet.

Not to be outdone Crawley Under 11s won their
age group on the Sunday afternoon, playing six games in total, winning
five and drawing 1, again like the U10s, without conceding a goal the
whole tournament! The final, against Letchworth Blues, was again one-sided
but the score was somehow kept to 1-0.
Alan McCabe and John Dudmish, who manage
both teams, were very impressed with the football played by the boys especially
as the U10s have only been together a few weeks and it was the
first time the U11s had all played 11-a-side together.
