Hat-trick of finals for the girls
Thursday, 1st February 2007
Crawley girls' teams continue to show their progress
with a hat-trick of success as our U14s, U12s and U11s all reached their
league cup finals last weekend.
Tiffany Johnson and Chantelle Olaiy scored
in the U14s 2-1 win over Luton Borough.
Amber Eden and Sarah Leah scored for the
U12s in another 2-1, this time over Welwyn Garden City.
Lauren Potter's double saw a third 2-1 victory
for the maroons as the U11s beat Milton Keynes to complete the hat-trick.
Well done to everyone involved with the girls' section
and we look forward to them enjoying their cup final day as they represent
Crawley Green.
As the season hots up, it is pleasing to note that the
U16s girls are in second position in their table as are the U14s, whilst
the U12s and U11s are both top - albeit on goal difference.
This shows the commitment being put into the girls teams
is paying handsome dividends.
Other notable peformances to date in the adult and youth
sections are:
Saturday side - top, although the second-placed team have games
in hand
Saturday Reserves - a creditable third position with games in hand
to go second
U8C - second on goal difference
U10A - clear at the top
U10C - top by one point
U16A - top on goal difference but two games in hand
U16B - top, three points clear, two games in hand
U13B - second, five points behind, two games in hand
