Cup success for the girls
Sunday, 1st April 2007
Crawley girls' teams continue to impress as the youngsters
won two out of three cup finals they appeared in during March.
The U11s lost in the worst possible fashion - penalties
after extra time in which both teams created and squandered good chances.
However, the girls did themselves proud and now focus on the league title.
U14s Cup Final success
The U14s secured their win with a fine 4-2 win over local rivals St Martins.
The game started well for Crawley with two early goals,
the first from Ellen Betts and the second from Deanna Wright
before
St Martins levelled the score with two from their Captain Candice Davies.
The second half was won by a superb display from the team and Chantel
Olia and Tiffiny Johnston won the game with individual class
strikes in the second half.
An outstanding performance from all especially as St Martins have beaten
us twice this season and adds to the silverware won last year by the girls.

U12s make it a double
In a game greatly influenced by the wind the current cup holders Crawley
U12s retained the trophy with a 2-1 win over St Martins.
An early goal by Senel Chapman sent Crawley in 1-0 up at half time.
Kicking with the wind in the second half St Martins came back strongly
and halfway during the half equalised forcing the game into extra time.
In the second period of extra time Lauren McMaster secured the
Crawley victory with a long range shot that just crept
under the St Martins' goalkeeper.

Retaining the cup for the second successive year, the
U12 Crawley girls pose after their fine cup final victory.
