More new screens at the Club

Many members are already saying that the atmosphere at the Club for the first two England World Cup matches has been the best ever at Crawley. With so many memorable afternoons and evenings watching England at the Club that is something to savour.

With that in mind the Committee are hoping to install two new large 42" plasma screens in the main room and/or the Sad Room if the installation team can meet the deadline of installing the screens before this coming Saturday.

The Committee remains dedicated to providing only the best for its members!

Many members thanked the Club for providing complimentary England pint glasses to take home. Just the usual class touch from the best football club in the town.

The Clubhouse was once again packed for the England v Portugal World Cup semi-final but once again the country was disappointed to go out of the competition on penalties.

Below are the last four pictures in the Clubhouse of the campagin.

The crowd roar their appreciation of Micky Bird getting his first round of the year . . .

. . . whilst this generousity appears to rub off on Ronnie Bates as the Clubhouse fills up with excited members.

However, optimism changes to pessimism as the penalties . . .

. . . until finally we are out - was it all worth it.

The Committee would like to thank the members for outstanding support during the World Cup and we don't think the atmosphere generated could have been better anywhere elses in the country. Thanks also to everyone on the Committee who helped make the games a success.
