Ladies Night - a super success
September 2006
With ladies at the Club continually moaning that the
lads have a gentleman's evening every year - our super duo of charity
fundraisers, Shelagh Mullen and Julie Blennerhassett, challenged
the lady members of the Club to hold their own - and the ladies turned
out in force, whilst the men had to make do with their usual Friday night
in the main bar!
With a terrific disco, superb comedian and buffet (plus
a belly dancer showing the girls how it is done) a terrific evening was
had by all. Not only that but an amazing £2,800 was raised for Breast
Cancer.
Below are some pictures of the evening - which now looks
likely to be an annual event.

Our superb charity fundraisers Julie Blennerhassett
and
Shelagh Mullen welcome the lady guests to the first
Ladies Night at CGSSC.

Willing volunteers relieve our guests of their money for a good cause.
Club waiters for the evening, Paul Ayling, Andy Hooker, Craig Freeman
and Dean Bradbury help make the evening a success
as all their tips went to the charity.
The ladies enjoy the evening as a marvellous £2,800 was raised.
It turned out to be Charity Winning Weekend as on the Saturday night
the Brown family held a charity evening in the main bar which raised £1,600
for Cystic Fibrosis - making a Total of £4,000 raised in one weekend
- a tribute to the volunteers and members of Crawley Green!
