Club's Annual Golf Day
September 2006
Once again the Club is indebted to our Steward, Mick
Murphy, for organising yet another superb Annual Golf Day. This year's
venue was held at Letchworth Golf Club and was reckoned to be the best
one yet. With about 50 members taking part the eventual winner was
club member John Murphy and Mark Williams (who apparently
rogued his handicap) ensured that he took the the runners-up spot.. Prizes
were handed out for various items, longest shot, best stylist, etc and
our thanks to go to the sponsors who were badgered by the Steward.
Below are a few pictures of the day.

Tactics are discussed by the pensioners' section prior
to play commencing.

Eddie Downey showing all the style of a retired
footballer as he tries to hit a big yellow golf ball.

Mark (Burger) Williams, the eventual winner,
puts a lot of beef
into his swing . . .

. . . whilst Vic Falciola has more of a Bob Hope
approach - or is it a no-hope approach.

Sunday Chairman, Craig Freeman has all the style
but doesn't realise the ball is behind him . . .

. . . whilst the also-rans wait for the winner to return
and the
bar to open.
