2005-06: Best season ever!

The season just ended has provided the Club with its best football season ever - at least at junior level. No less than 10 teams managed to pick up silverware with two of the teams (U9a boys and the U12 girls) both completing doubles by winning their championships as well as league cups. In the case of the U9s it was a double double - having completed the same title and cup-winning performance the previous year. In both seasons they had identical playing records - played 23 games, winning 22 and drawing one. Their performances were so good that they recently appeared on Anglia TV showing off their skills and praising the Club for their help. Well done to everyone, from the children, their coaches, parents and helpers!

Particularly pleasing is the terrific advances in the younger sections (including the nursery section where it all begins) as all teams seem to be going from strength to strength - a tribute to the tremendous effort put in by the coaching staff. Also praise must go the individuals involved in coaching the girls' teams for after a few difficult seasons their hard work is now paying off, and this section is becoming a very popular addition to the Club's portfolio.

All the winning teams posed for "the big picture" (above) and this will be reproduced (when a better quality picture becomes available) and proudly placed in the Clubhouse next to the previous "best season ever". Managers and officials were then treated to a buffet lunch in recognition of their hard work, dedication and input.
