On Thursday 6th AuCrawley Green Youth FC were recently nominated by the Bedfordshire FA to take part in the FA's National Football Festival at Wembley Stadium, hosted by The FA and McDonalds

On Thursday 6th August a squad of 14 players from Crawley Green Under 10s had the chance to play on the Wembley pitch, with managers Iain Black, John Oxley and Zia Ehsan supporting them on the day.

Coaching sessions were put on for the players to learn new skills, including sessions led by Eric Harrison, the McDonald’s National Coach and ex-Manchester United Youth Team Coach, who worked with David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes.

After the game and a team photo session, the players were invited to walk up to the Royal Box to receive a commemorative medal from the guests of honour.

All the players thoroughly enjoyed their day out and it was an experience they are never likely to forget
