Match Report - Whitbread (NHC Sunday League) Cup - Crawley Green 3 - 0 Luton Old Boys

Crawley cruised into the next round of the Whitbread Cup to set up a 1/4 final tie against Silsoe. Crawley could have been 1-0 in the first few minutes but for an instinctive save by the Old Boys goalkeeper. Luton Old Boys had a few chances but Casey Waterford was equal to their efforts. Danny Watson continued his prolific form by beating the offside from a great pass from Glenn Freeman trap and lobbing the GK to put Crawley 1-0 up. Crawley were then awarded a penalty but the referee then proceeded to change his mind. In the 2nd half Crawley had several chances including a penalty after Mark Bunker was brought down in the box, but the GK saved the subsequent penalty and Glenn Freeman missed the follow up. Danny Watson then scored his 2nd of the game after a superb through ball by Bunker, and the former England Schoolboy U18 captain then completed his hat-trick by dancing round the keeper with only several minutes left on the clock to round off a comfortably victory for Crawley.
