Whitbread Cup Semi-Final - Crawley Green 2 - 1 Lewsey

Crawley Green put in a fantastic performance to beat Lewsey in the semi-final of the Whitbread Cup. Crawley could have been 2 up in the first 10 minutes but failed to take their opportunities after poor defending by Lewsey.
The game was evenly matched and Lewsey went into the break  1-0 up after a cool finish by Jon Barnett.
Crawley then scored 2 identical goals with Matty Edge crossing neatly from the right for Mark Bunker to scored the equaliser after the goalkeeper forced the ball against him and it rebounded into the empty net, and then Edge crossed again for Craig Meyrick to put Crawley 2-1 up for what turned out to be the winner.
Lewsey then pressed for an equaliser and had a couple of chances but it was going to be Crawley's day and they now go on to meet Four Horseshoes in the final, Crawley's 2nd successive Whitbread cup final appearance.
