Crawley Green 0
Holmer Green 2

Molten Spartan South Midlands League
Division One

Holmer Green extended their unbeaten run with a 2-0 victory in this top of the table clash with Crawley.

A lapse of concentration on the stroke of half time allowed Holmer Green to open the scoring.  Crawley expected a cross field ball to go out of play and were caught napping when the ensuing cross was turned in by Holmer's skipper Tom Alabaster.

Crawley pressed hard in the second half but the game was decided in the 65th minute when Holmer were awarded a hotly disputed penalty.  James Dickson was harshly penalised in a clash with a Holmer forward.  Aiden Taylor stepped up to smash the ball past Ross Tompkins who had an outstanding game between the sticks for Crawley.

Crawley pushed forward and dominated in the last 20 minutes as Holmer sat on their lead but were unable to reduce the arrears.

Next Saturday Crawley Green entertain Cockfosters.
