Crawley Green v Hadley

A last minute goal by Jermaine Hall moved Crawley Green into second place in the league with a narrow 2-1 victory over close rivals Hadley FC. Crawley dominated the first half and opened the scoring after 20 minutes when Stefan McNeilly headed in a corner from John Cooper.  A reckless challenge in the box from Lee Loasby after 40 minutes gave Hadley a way back into the game and Danny Gruar took full advantage with a well taken penalty. The second half was keenly contested and the game nearly boiled over when Stefan McNeilly was badly injured in a challenge that later required 10 stitches. In the final minutes of the game Crawley were awarded a corner and Jermaine Hall was first to react when the ball broke lose in the box to smash home a late winner and secure all three points for Crawley.
In the reverse fixture Crawley Green Reserves lost 2-1 to Hadley.  Mark Smith scored for Crawley.

Next Wednesday Crawley travel to Tokyngton Manor and on Saturday entertain AFC Dunstable in the semi final of the Bedfordshire Senior Trophy.
