Crawley Green 2
Cockfosters 3

Molten Spartan South Midlands League
Division One
Crawley Green v Cockfosters

Crawley Green turned in a poor performance to allow Cockfosters to take all 3 points with a 3-2 victory.

Crawley took the lead after 17 minutes when Robbie O'Dell headed in a cross from James Potter.  However poor defending let Cockfosters back in the game 5 minutes later.  Keeper Ross Tompkins tipped a header onto the bar from a corner and Dean Barker was quickest to react and tapped in the rebound.  Six minutes later Fosters took the lead.  Crawley were caught out with a through ball and Tompkins brought down the on rushing forward to concede a penalty which Dean Barker converted easily.

Crawley started the second half brightly and Rian MacNabola brought a fine save from the Fosters keeper.  Grant Carney then put Crawley level when he headed in a James Potter corner after 52 minutes.  Fosters bounced straight back and regained the lead after 58 minutes when Billy Wingrove finished from close range to take all points for Cockfosters.

Next week Crawley travel to New Bradwell St.Peter.

Following the resignation of Shane Scott and Brian Outlaw, Crawley have appointed Scott Harvey to take over as Reserve Team manager and he will be assisted by Joe Findlay.  In their first game in charge Crawley Reserves beat Tring Corinthians 2-0 with Kaya Prospere netting twice from assists by Andrew Spry.  Next week the reserves entertain Holmer Green.
